I am Takashi Sugiyama, the representative of "October Deer," which provides nature experiences in the fields of Yatsugatake, Mt. Asama, and the mountains of Shinshu in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture. I was born in Nagatoro Town, Saitama Prefecture in 1985. After graduating from Jiyunomori Gakuen Private School, I entered International Natural Environment Outdoor College in Niigata Prefecture as a first year student. After graduating, worked as the secretariat of the NPO Asama Sanroku International Nature School, and became independent in 2016. Currently, based in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture, we operate “October Deer,” which provides nature experiences in the fields of Yatsugatake, Mt. Asama, and the mountains of Shinshu.
I love living things in general, so I tend to talk a lot about mammals, birds, and insects during the guide. I also like stories about the evolution of living things and survival strategies, and I want to become a nature guide who conveys the fun, wonder, and charm of nature. He has a lot of mammal skulls and furs, and claims himself to be Shinshu's No. 1 skull guide.
