SUP, which stands for Stand Up Paddleboard, is a marine sport that originated in Hawaii. The basic way to enjoy SUP is to float a board slightly larger than a surfing boat on a lake or sea, stand on it and paddle slowly to move. Since around 2004, it has spread around the world as a competitive sport, and recently it has also spread as a pastime in tourist spots and resort areas in Japan.
