It is said that there is nothing that cannot be done with metal processing, and even Mr. Konosuke Matsushita visited his father's town factory (Osaka City) Asai Seisakusho, where he learned the essence of metal processing. At the age of 24, he became independent and acquired a track record of processing and repairing at a jewelry store. Fascinated by the old cloth used to store silver hairpins, he devotes himself to collecting and restoring old cloth. Learn how to dye old documents (wazomekan) with a master, stencil dyeing/vegetable dyeing with old fabrics, and weaving with an antique loom.

Moved from Osaka city to Yao city, researched and restored Kawachi cotton, and stencil dyeing/Kusaki dyeing is characterized by fine lines, and made the Imari series his own theme work. He donated the collected materials to Osaka University of Commerce, and moved to Yoshikawa in 1983 to begin research and restoration of Tamba cloth.

Entering the Heisei period, he began to produce woodcut sarasa, which had been warmed up for a long time. He has held solo exhibitions 49 times at department stores nationwide. Immediately after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, he stopped his solo exhibition activities and started devoting himself to succession activities. Currently, his mission is to spread the woodblock print Sarasa, which he considers to be the culmination of his work. Wood carving, joinery, stone carving, glass... the world continues to expand.

More info A dragonfly ball refers to a glass ball with a hole, and it is a technique that has been around for a long time. At Chikudai-tei, we make netsuke for bags, and combine them with engraving works to create accessories.

In processing, work proceeds while melting the glass in the heat. It takes skill to make it beautiful and evenly round. When you start to understand the trick to making it evenly round, you will want to add a pattern. If you can make patterns with a stylus and embed small parts made separately, the world will expand more and more.

We will make a dragonfly ball with a diameter of about 1.5 cm according to the customer's preference. If the desired size exceeds the size included in the entry fee, it will be an option, so an additional fee will be charged on site. Please pay.
