I was born in Osaka in 1961, moved to the headwaters of the Kushiro River in 1997, and became independent in 2005 after training as a guide on the Kushiro River for seven years. His wife, Masumi, was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1974. After completing a master's degree at Hokkaido University's Faculty of Agriculture, he joined the Hokkaido University brown bear research group to follow bears around the mountains and fields of Hokkaido. Involved in environmental education at the NPO Neosu. Presides over WEL, a wildlife education laboratory. At Nanook, I am in charge of nature tours and cooking, and I am also a Ministry of the Environment Natural Park Instructor and a Hokkaido Nature Conservation Inspector.
