Guide profile

I am Kazumasa Suzuki, the representative of the Sanriku Sea Kayak School Season, which provides a sea kayaking experience in Jodogahama, Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture. The Sanriku coast where we live was hit by the Great East Japan Earthquake, but reconstruction is progressing. Toward the realization of our dreams, we will build up what we can do for Sanriku, one step at a time, while deepening our ties with various people and organizations. Now, our own efforts and creativity, living in the disaster area, must be further tested and made visible.

In a region that is inevitably changing, unless we accept it and seek ways to further develop it, it will be difficult to envision a bright future. While thanking everyone for their support, I will continue to work patiently without giving up. If we were to compare it to a plant, we would put down strong roots in the earth, have thick trunks and branches, and prepare ourselves to withstand winds, waves and cold weather. I think

Together with my colleagues, I will be happy to introduce the Sanriku region, which has both steep cliffs and calm waters, and where abundant life is nurtured, to as many people as possible. What is provide	◎ Let's go explore the Sanriku coast! Sanriku Sea Kayak School "Season" is based in Jodogahama, Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture. For beginners, we offer an experience tour where you can enjoy safe and secure scenery in the wonderful Sanriku coast with detailed advice from the guide. In addition, for those who have experienced sea kayaking, we have prepared a course that allows you to enjoy the charm of the magnificent Sanriku coast, which boasts one of the best natural coast rates in Japan. Take a break from your daily fatigue and enjoy a leisurely walk on the sea in an area dotted with scenic spots such as national parks and Sanriku Geopark, strangely shaped rocks, sea caves, rock gardens, precipitous cliffs, and private beaches! We look forward to your participation.
Access	[Sea kayak meeting place] If you come by car, it will take about 12 minutes from Sanriku Expressway "Miyako Port IC" (5 minutes on foot from Jodogahama 2nd parking lot). Roads are very congested during consecutive holidays and during summer vacation. Please help us to arrive early.
